INTEGRATED SYSTEMS

When there is the demand for high quantities of power for safety-related railway signalling systems, ECM provides comprehensive solutions that include static UPS units provided with battery back-up, a.c. stabilisers and d.c. converters, protection and monitoring panels with battery back-up, interconnection bus-bars and electric generators that guarantee a supply of reserve power for very long periods. All the UPS systems produced by ECM guarantee galvanic isolation between the mains power supply and utilities. The redundant hot stand-by or load sharing arrangements, guarantee fault-tolerant behaviour for single faults so as to significantly raise the level of system availability. In particular, the system monitoring function has the ability to store sequences of all operating states before and after an alarm status, thus generating a 'log' that can easily be deciphered in order to understand any abnormal behaviour of the system.
